Dutch Giants men's basketball team to Tsinghua High School friendly exchange competition
From May 31 to June 3, 2016, the Dutch Giants men's basketball team visited Tsinghua High School for four days of friendly exchange activities。During this period, the Dutch Giants men's basketball players not only played two friendly games with the Tsinghua Attached High School men's basketball team, exchanging ball skills, but also attended classes under the leadership of the Tsinghua Attached High School students, and experienced the campus life of Chinese students in depth。

During the exchange, Mr. David Pho(Fu Yangqin), Education Counselor of the Dutch Embassy, came to watch the friendly match between the two schools on June 3。Fang Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua High School, Zhang Jie, Deputy Secretary, Luo Jian, Director of Ma John Sports Special Class Office, Zhang Tao, coach of the men's basketball team, had a cordial exchange with Adriaan Leyte, head coach of the Dutch Giants, and Mr. Aernout Dorpmans, senior advisor。Fang Yan warmly welcomed the visit of the Dutch Giants team and introduced the characteristics of Tsinghua High School and the glorious history of the Ma John Sports special Class to the visiting guests。Fang Yan hopes that the two teams can continue to strengthen friendly cooperation and exchanges, learn from each other and make common progress。

In the friendly match held on the afternoon of June 3rd, the men's basketball team of Tsinghua Affiliated High School and the Dutch Giants men's basketball team contributed a wonderful game for everyone。At the beginning of the game, the Dutch team relied on smooth team attack cooperation and accurate three-point shooting to close the score, and then the Tsinghua Affiliated High School men's basketball team played steadily, relying on the attack under the basket and tenacious defense, and finally defeated the opponent。In the second match, Tsinghua Affiliated High School men's basketball team made continuous efforts to win the friendly match。

The Dutch Giants are a famous local basketball club。The club mainly targets at school students with different basketball foundations and love basketball, providing them with basketball training, tapping their sports potential and cultivating good sports habits。The club currently has around 150 members and a total of 14 teams, which participate in various basketball competitions organized by the Dutch Basketball Federation at different levels。The average age of students visiting Tsinghua High School is below 16 years old。
The basketball friendly match not only further strengthened the contact and communication between the two teams, but more importantly, built a bridge of friendship between the young people of the two countries, laying an important foundation for mutual exchange and learning in the future。
